What does "NZ" mean?

For most lectures there are requirements that have to be met in order to be admitted to an examination. In most cases, this includes regular attendance and participation in lectures, and sometimes there are also e.g. exercises to be completed or protocols to be written. If you register for an examination but you do not meet these requirements, your examiner will enter "NZ" ("nicht zugelassen" - not admitted) in your account (Studierenden-Online-Funktion online tool).

This does not affect the number of examination attempts you have left. For some subjects there are a limited number of spaces in lectures and a large number of students wishing to fill these spaces. If students do not complete a lecture series as planned without a valid reason they will be downgraded in priority when places are allocated in future semesters.

More information on this can be found under admission to the examination.
